Dunn Lab News

July, 2025 – International Eosinophil Society – 13th Biennial Meeting, Montpellier

The much anticipated moment finally arrived, and 3 members of the lab were able to attend the 13th Biennial Meeting of the International Eosinophil Society! Too bad the location was a total bore {sarcasm}. Allison, Brittany, and Julia had a wonderful time, met some excellent new collaborators, and came back with a pile of ideas for future experiments. Julia also came back with an additional 10 lbs 😉

January, 2025 – Stand Up for Science Rally in Denver

Erin, Evie, and Julia (pictured, left to right) went down to the state capitol for the Stand Up for Science Rally! It was cold, but great to meet neighbors and colleagues who care about the state of science funding, the environment, and health! Plus there was a dog in a hat.

This month was book-ended by two presentations at national conferences. On the first, Evie presented her work on eosinophil re-specialization at SACNAS in Phoenix, and there was much rejoicing. On the 23rd, Erin presented her work on eosinophil-fibroblast crosstalk at the Autumn Immunology Conference in Chicago. And there was much rejoicing.

July 25, 2024 – First Annual Dunn Lab Outing

To commemorate a fantastically productive summer, the Dunn Lab took a day trip to Georgetown! It was a completely gorgeous day, we ate some extremely delicious burgers & tots, hiked around a mountain lake, and searched (in vain) for some bighorn sheep -but we did spot a bald eagle! It was bittersweet preparing to say a goodbye-for-now to two of our fantastic students, but we’re so grateful for the time working together and looking forward to both students coming back soon!
